The Next Right Step helps families find the next right step in senior care: what a license means, which public listings match, and what the record does not say.
The directory is free to use. The Next Right Step is free for families. No facility, agency, or provider pays to be listed, ranked, or recommended, and we don't receive referral fees. If we ever accept a sponsor, that listing will be clearly labeled “Sponsored,” and this note will be updated. Every profile is here because a public file includes it.
Assisted living and memory care come from the New Jersey Department of Health. Nursing homes, home health, hospice, rehabilitation, and adult day come from Department of Health files and CMS public data. Medicare equipment suppliers are not listed. Prices, openings, and which plan a building accepts are left blank when those files do not say.
The site is newsletter-first. There is no phone number to call, no callback request, and no form that sends your question to a community. A weekly email is the way to stay in touch. Questions about the project go via the newsletter page.
